Meet Kate

Licensed Homeopath (RSHom) and qualified Shiatsu Practitioner (MrSS)

I am Kate, and I offer Shiatsu and Homeopathy based on the beautiful Gower Peninsula in South Wales.  I have graduated from the Bristol School of Shiatsu, and the Welsh School of Homeopathy and I am a member of both the Shiatsu Society,  and the Society of Homeopaths.

In 2004 I began my training in Shiatsu, and discovered the conscious, joyful connection with the vital energy, or Ki, in myself, the client, and in the world around, and  have found deep healing for myself and my clients. Later, having had some positive and effective homeopathic treatment,  I decided to expand my experience of energy work, and began training as a Homeopath. I have found energy work to be powerful and transformational, and I now use both these practices to support my own health, and that of my clients.

About me brown tint.jpg

I believe passionately that we have the capacity to heal ourselves; our bodies are wise. The Ki, the Chi, Energy, the Vital Force  are all names for the intelligent life force that is in and around us, and I am fascinated by how it strives for wellness by the dynamic process of balancing and rebalancing as we constantly navigate through an ever-changing environment.  I have chosen Shiatsu and Homeopathy as means of working with energy, and they rely on the signals provided by this life force to direct the treatment or the choice of medicine. The treatment is therefore unique to each individual, tailored to their specific need, and not a generic approach.

Rock Balancing

I have worked as a Occupational Therapist for 32 years within the NHS, gaining specialist experience in the fields of Neurological Rehab, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges of living with chronic conditions, and the amazing capacity the body has to contribute to its own healing as well as an in-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology. I believe this experience combined with nearly two decades of practicing alternative therapies, has enabled me to develop a well-rounded approach to the health and well-being of my clients.

For the past decade I have been involved with transformational women’s work and have completed the Basic Facilitators training in Shadow Work

As part of my ongoing personal and professional development I regularly receive supervision and attend post-graduate training.
